House with 1800 sq m land 423 (£7,000)
The village of Odarne is in Central-North Bulgaria, on the road Pleven-Levski, at equal distance from both towns. It is 3 kilometers away from the train station Odarne. The terrain is plain, with very generous soil. The area is also famous for the crucial battles in the Russian-Ottoman war (1877-1878), where the russians took advantage and in a result won the war. That is why there are plenty of historical monuments in the region of Odarne. The village is on a very communicative position. All the basic utilities like post-office, cafes, pubs, shops etc. are available.
The property shown is located on a walking distance from the village's center. The house is solid, brick-built, two-storeyed, in overall very good condition.
The ground floor comprises of a big glazed entrance-hall, living room, bedroom and a kitchen. As there is plenty of space, bricking-up an inner bathroom would be no problem. This would bring much more comfort for living. Underneath the ground floor is the cellar. It is now used for storing food and any other supplies, but could be easily transformed into anything else. An authentic tavern or a winery is a very interesting idea of what this cellar could become.
Cement outer stairs are leading to the second floor. It offers a corridor and another three bedrooms. All the rooms are in excellent preserved condition. For more comfort an inner bathroom could be bricked-up.
Yet there is an attic with the same floorage as the second floor. This is a great opportunity of turning it into additional living area with its own bathroom for example.
Outside the house is the yard. Spreading over 1800 sq.m. of land, absolutely plane and rectangular, it provides lots of opportunities. Building-in a swiming-pool is a great idea of what the yard could provide. This would bring much more charm into this property. Plus there is a draw-well, which could be used for filling-up a swiming-pool, watering the garden, or as an alternative water supply. For the beauty of the yard are also contributing the flower and fruit gardens, the trellis-vines, the fruit trees, coniferous trees, etc.
Most of the bulgarian rural houses has plenty of additional farm-buildings. This one does not make an exception. There are granaries, barns, two-storeyed hayloft, pigsties, hen-houses, penthouses, and few other outbuildings. All these could be used by their original purpose, or could be renovated and transformed into anything else (e.g. additional living area as guest-houses, BBQ area, kinder playing area, workshops, etc. ).
Another big advantage the property offers is the big double-sized iron gate. This provides the opportunity of parking more than four cars stacked into the yard.
Water, electricity, land-line telephone and radio-rediffusion set are connected to mains. Cable TV and Internet could easily be provided. There are water-fountains inside the house and outside in the yard. As it has never been left uninhabited, the property is in overall very good and preserved condition, but for more comfort of course it might need some small renovation works.
