Customer Service Job Description

Being a member of the Reception team at Craggy Island Sutton is a key position as you will be the first person our customers come into contact with, either in person or over the telephone. You will report directly to our Centre Manager.

Your duties will include a variety of administrative tasks including; taking payment by cash and card, ensuring accuracy at all times, liaising with customers in person and over the telephone with regard to all the services we offer, responding to emails, sending literature and booking confirmations, contacting and booking-in Instructor hours to cover courses, using the automated booking system and ensure this is accurate and up-to-date, making contact with new customers and groups and offer them the appropriate course/service for their individual requirements.

Reception will be staffed on a shift basis seven days a week and therefore we require someone who can work as part of a team and on their own initiative. We offer training on all our systems and all staff have access to free climbing at both our Craggy Island Climbing Centres.

This job will suit bright and lively people who want to work in a healthy and uplifting social environment. Being a climber is certainly not a requirement but an interest in an active lifestyle would be an advantage.
