Limecrete floors - highly insulating and lightweight bulking medium.
From my own experience, the asymmetrical LECA lumps are easier to use than spherical lumps - the lime/LECA mix clumps and sticks together more easily - but once the mix has been laid and has cured, the result is the same.

Use it as an Ornamental garden ground cover for supressing weeds, repelling cats and conserving moisture in the soil and looks very striking.

I have 16 bags left over from a building project in an early Victorian cottage - we dug up the 1950's concrete slab floor and laid a Limecrete floor. This has resolved all of the problems with damp rising up the walls... the concrete slab had been holding the moisture in place - the only way it could move was up the kitchen walls.
With the new eco-friendly Limecrete floor, the moisture escapes into the atmosphere via the Lime that binds the LECA together - the walls have dried out perfectly and the kitchen is much warmer than it used to be.
