Simplified Education is specialising in providing after school centres and private home tuition for Maths and English. At present, we are working with over 500 families in Croydon and its surrounding areas teaching primary to A levels students.
The vacancy has arisen when some of the parents approached us about entertaining children by running a stimulating, fun and interactive science activity during a birthday party. The idea proved to be popular and growing therefore, we are recruiting more presenters/entertainers.
At present, most clients are in and around Croydon area therefore, if you are interested for this post please consider your location. This is not a full time job but would definitely recommend it as a second job or a stepping stone if you are considering a teaching profession.
What are we looking for?
• UK University Student/ Graduate and love Science ( You don’t need to have a Science degree).
• Fluent English- spoken and written with excellent presentation skills
• Bubbly personality; must be able to entertain and contain children for at least an hour. Must be creative and productive.
• Experienced of working with children or have worked in a similar environment before.
• Must have a full and enhanced CRB or willing to apply ( £36.00)
• Willingness to work as self employed
• Willingness to obtain own personal liability insurance
• Must own a decent and reliable car- this job involves quite a lot of driving around.
• Patient and Friendly
• Be able to promote the company’s profile.
• Be able to emphasise and prove that Science is fun!
In return, we pay you £40.00 per hour and depending on your performance, we can give you a good reference. The times are normally during after school (3:15 to 4:15) or before school ( 7:45 to 8:45). For Saturdays and Sundays, we start working from 10:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m. to cover birthday parties in different locations. Once you’re established and more experienced, you could earn up to £300 to £400.00 per week. This is a genuine vacancy therefore not expecting any time wasters. We would pay £20.00 towards your CRB and you pay £36.00 therefore, we don’t want to waste this money for nothing.

Objectives of the presentation: ( What are the children going to learn, discover and prove at the end of the session).
Resources: make a list of resources that you are going to use ( You might need to improvise or pick simple and cheap stuff as you would be using your own money for every presentation that you do.
Summary: step by step instructions to achieve outcome
You are very welcome to use MS Powerpoint as well.
