"F.E.Olds and Son" Vintage Ambassador tenor saxophone.

Probably manufactured in the1940's or 50's California USA. I have been told that it is likely to be a Martin "stencil "- bascially made by manufacturer Martin with the F.E.Olds name stamped on and is recognised as such due to the "Martin signature" soldered tone holes. Stamped 47303 on neck.

This sax has been well used and needs some TLC to bring back to top playing condition. The lacquer has all but gone but the brass of the instrument is sound and there are no resolders. Ideally you will need a full repad to bring the sax to a standard and perhaps some minor mechanical adjustments.

A lovely full warm sound and feel when setup. My pro.teacher reckoned it sounded better than his Selmer! No mouthpiece included but comes in a very old American wooden case.A great old horn to own and play after the repairs have been done or keep as showpiece. Well worth a look!
