This small community Primary School is set within a residential area and has strong links with the local community. It blends in well and is well known among residents. The school provide extended services for families which bring everyone together, which in turn brings the local community together.

The school have an Early Years Department which house a small nursery and reception class. The Head of the department is looking for a Nursery Nurse to join their team and work alongside the Teacher in the Reception Class. Your role will heavily involve supporting children with English as a second language. You will be responsible for directly teaching your group of key children, focusing on language, implementing activities and learning opportunities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage.
You will be following planning laid down by the Teacher but will be expected to communicate with the Teacher and input ideas that will promote extended learning from your observations and assessments.

This is a very exciting role with great opportunity to flourish and make the role your own. It comes with responsibility and could lead to career progression with further training. The Head is very supportive and completes a full induction programme when you start.

Both classes are spacious and set out so the children can help themselves to resources and equipment. When walking around the school the children are happy and content, greeting you as you arrive in the room. The children’s work is displayed around the room which makes it bright and welcoming.

A Level 3 Childcare qualification
A CRB issued within the last 12 months
Have excellent communication and organisational skills
