Hellllllooooo! Its the Gumtree creative writers branch we're on. By default that means we haven't actually made it in the real world of literary achievement. It means we might have a tiny drop of creativity in us if we are lucky, it means that we will do anything to self promote our "ideas" and fantasies. It doesn't mean we can demand respect in return for some trumped up creative thought process, discovered after six whiskeys and a beer; it doesn't mean that we can dictate the terms of our prostitution, it doesn't mean that we won't be seen through. But also - it doesn't mean that we can be walked all over either. C'mon, a little humility can go a long way; if you have something that is going to blow the world away with its genius "but it just needs a little extra imput from another dreamer" then ask for help nicely for gods sake. I climbed the Gumtree a long time ago and I dig this branch I am perched on. If you are going to shake me off it then do it with style... please; because by demanding of others something that we ourselves do not have, we are merely transferring our propensity for failure... wouldn't it be better to share success?
