Sous Chefs up to 30K
Ottolenghi on Upper St, Islington, is a the largest branch of one of the most innovative food establishments in London, serving food and pastries of different influences, with a Mediterranean slant, in a cutting-edge modern environment. We seat roughly 50 guests.
We are looking to fill 2 positions:
First, a senior sous-chef to run the day operation of the kitchen. This is an 8-6 job that requires good management skills and at least 4 years of senior level experience in high quality establishments. You would be in charge of creating a daily changing seasonal menu and have a team of 5 chefs. The salary scope: 26K-30K.
The second position is that of junior sous-chef in the evenings. You’d be working as a second to Brad (from New Zealand) as part of a brigade of 3 chefs, serving fresh “tapas” style dishes from the kitchen. The food, of outstanding quality and originality, has a middle-eastern, modern European and Asian influences. Shifts start at 2pm and finish at around 10.30pm. Sunday off, plus another day in the week. Salary scope: 20K-24K.
