Purchasing Assistant


DESIRABLE:
- Printing consumable/Imaging industry exposure/experience
- Educated to degree level.
- Interested in a Supply Chain/Procurement Career.


SPECIFIC TASKS:

- Effectively process invoices, credit notes and delivery notes.
- Requesting samples & specifications from suppliers.
- Order seasonal items where appropriate.
- Setting up new suppliers/products onto the system & communicate all relevant details with Stores team.
- Maintain the price file and communicate with the Accounts and Marketing team on monthly price changes.
- Using Sage for entering orders and deliveries (Training Provided)
- Tracking the progress of the orders and working with suppliers, agents and colleagues to make sure the products arrive on schedule
- Using Excel to update information
- Checking pro-forma invoices and copying documents
- Preparation of payment requests for authorisation
- Keeping up to date spreadsheets, arranging modules for payments, dealing with suppliers and - raising order for trial products.
Purchase Admin tasks

CORE SKILLS REQUIRED
• At least 1 year experience in a similar role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative
• Analytical and mathematical driven
• Expert user of MS Excel/Word (It’s a MUST!)
• Sage Experience
• Extremely computer Literate and a very good communicator.
• Very quick learner.
• Ability to “think outside the box”
