Ford Transit camper complete with everything needed for touring available now. We are an Aussie/Kiwi couple who are leaving the UK on Monday, and need to sell our beloved camper ‘Murray’.
In excellent mechanical condition, having replaced the gearbox during our trip through Europe, as well as the radiator, alternator and 2 new tyres all in the last 6 months, this van is in excellent shape. The motor was replaced in 2002, hence the low mileage of 65,000 miles for a van of this age. There are also service receipts going back several years for you to view.
The van is on the smaller side of campers, being a short wheel base van with a semi high roof (4.5m long and 2.3m high), meaning that you can save a packet on ferry costs as on most ferries it is classified as a car in size, and not a camper or commercial van.
Inside is a Waeco 12v/240v fridge that is super reliable (far better than the bar fridge style found in most campers from my experience), a 2 hob + grill gas burner stove with 9kg gas bottle, sink with running water, 240v electrical hookup lead with EU adapter and a very comfy double bed that can fold out to a triple if required.
You’ll find all the pots, pans, cutlery and cups you’ll need for a feed, plus awning poles and a tarp, chairs and a table all included. There’s a digital safe which will keep your passports safe and can also fit a small laptop (netbook). The Panasonic stereo takes cd’s, plays radio and includes a cable to plug in your mp3/ipod, so you can play all your tunes while cruising.
Tax is paid up until 31 December, and the MOT is not due until April 1 2010.
As we are leaving the UK 9pm this Monday, we are very keen to sell and any reasonable offer will be considered, so come and check him out and we’ll see what we can do!
