Head Chef with flair required for Pub in Ilford
The County Pub in Ilford, Essex have an exciting opening for a chef with the flair and drive to start their food trade.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about food and delivering it to it's highest possible standard.
Duties include:
-Creating menu and changing it every couple of weeks according to the season, customer base and to maintain interest.
-Manage and employ kitchen staff
-Staff rota
-Kitchen cleaning and hygiene rota
-Weekly meeting with GM to report any issues and communicate up and coming events
-Sourcing, liasing and ordering with local and national suppliers
-Stock control and rotation
-Prepping all menu items for service and managing service
-Signing and checking all deliveries
-Keeping kitchen and all equipment clean, tidy and serviceable
-Keep fridges clean and tidy
-Manage kitchen laundry
-Manage kitchen GP and check prices
-Close kitchen down at night, sweep and mop and check all appliances are off
-Prepare for private functions and attend meetings with clients to create specific menus
-Train all kitchen staff in cleaning , hygiene and safety aspects of their role
-Create cleaning rota and stock take checks and ensure these are done on daily / weekly basis
-Waste management- keep tabs on what has been wasted and why
