Au pair required in Se London, Zone 2 to live with kind, happy English family
We are both architects looking for an English speaking au pair to look after our two children - Aasta (4) and Lachlann (1) three days a week. Aasta goes to nursery each morning. She is a very responsible little girl and looks after her little brother very well. Lachlann is an extremely chilled out, happy little boy, on the verge of walking.
Your daily duties would start at 8am and finish at 6:15pm and would include:
- Getting Aasta ready for nursery
- Taking Aasta to nursery (5 min walk)
- Talking Lachlann to local clubs in the morning
- Collecting Aasta from nursery
- Making them lunch and clearing up afterwards
- Taking them to park, clubs, swimming, museums, library, ballet etc in the afternoon (no TV)
- Making them dinner and tidying up afterwards
- Tidying away toys
You may need to buy food on occasion - we will pay you back.
In addition, we would like 1 babysitting night a week and 5 hours a week miscellaneous work agreed in advance which could include light housework, looking after children if I have an appointment, and occasionally getting up with the children in the morning after our night out to give us a lie in.
From time to time we may ask you to look after the children if they wake up in the night, but this should be no more than once a month.
In exchange we will provide you with a large furnished room with TV, DVD player, microwave, kettle, desk etc , your own bathroom and all your meals. You are welcome to join us for our evening meal and we will treat you as part of the family. We will also pay you £75 per week pocket money.
We have the use of a property in the Kent countryside where you will be welcome to join us at weekend when we go.
You will also have the use of a car if you are a competent driver.
Most importantly, you have to love children and play with them.
