Experienced Bakery Manager Required

Bakery Manager (annual salary of £23,000)

We are looking for an extra special, super organised Bakery Manager to join the team at our Primrose Hill bakery. If you’re hard working, great at leading people, and most of all, ready for a challenge, then this is the job for you. We want someone who can step into our busy workplace and not only take it in their stride but make it run like clockwork.

We’re really busy right now and need somebody with proven experience in a management position within the industry. We’re planning a move to larger premises and are looking for somebody who can take charge of the operational side of this. This will include the sourcing of new equipment, streamlining our flow of production and ensuring that this remains un-interrupted throughout the changeover.

Day to day tasks will include:

• Management of bakery staff
• Organising the rotas for both day and night shifts
• Sourcing ingredients and supplies – negotiating the best prices with suppliers
• Implementing a new stock system - tracking and ordering all ingredients and supplies, performing a monthly stock take
• Overseeing the training of new bakery employees, outlining criteria for each job role
• Product development – including creating new recipes for our monthly and seasonal flavours
• Implementing cleaning, HACCP and health and safety policies
• Quality Control - overseeing all elements of day to day production, ensuring that every order leaves the bakery to the highest LOLA’s standard
• Overseeing distribution to LOLA’s outlets –liaising with store managers

Person Specification

• You are a natural leader, can motivate staff and have management experience
• You are proficient in Excel, Outlook and have used software specific to track bakery stock levels before, (preferably Mixing Bench)
• You have worked within the baking industry and understand the complexities of distributing freshly baked goods
• You are a great communicator and work well with a variety of people
