The positivity, motivation and inspiration of 'From Me To You' stems from the hope, humanity and successes detailed in the stories and poems contained within it. Irrespective of age, race, religion or any other factor we welcome true-life submissions.

A 'From Me To You' story is an inspirational and true-life account of a normal person achieving or experiencing a life-affirming moment. It is a tale designed to touch the reader emotionally, and gently remind them of the preciousness of life and human interaction. Through recognising and acknowledging this the reader can hopefully find something which they can then directly relate or apply to their own lives. The stories are often dramatic, emotional and colourful.

Due to the brevity of the stories, and despite their beginning/middle/end structure, they often finish with a strong emotive flourish and impact which will stay with the reader. The key element of a 'From Me To You' story is its sense of humanity and its ability to re-connect the reader with an often neglected sense of the value of life and love. Although each account is written from an individual and personal perspective the emotions which are aroused are universal to us all, whether they be tears or laughter. Typically moving stories are of people performing acts of unselfish kindness for others.

The most successful structure for these accounts is to begin with a tone, whether it be optimistic, sad or amusing and to re-tell a true life tale. A brief introduction to the people involved is always a successful way of initially helping the reader to empathise with the scenario. Dialogue and a description of the feelings felt throughout also helps to add flesh to the account, and adds emphasis to the final conclusion- a revelation or epiphany, a life-changing experience or a success/result. Honesty and passion are the main tenants of a successful story.

Each submission should:

• Include a title
• Be between 250 and 1000 words
• Be accompanied by the author’s name and contact details
