We are looking to recruit an experienced Web Designer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have worked commercially as a web designer and preferably have had prior involvement in the design of web-based applications.

What You Will Be Doing

* Working with other team members to develop concepts, working models and final live websites and applications
* Maintaining and improving our existing portfolio of websites & web applications

Essential Skills

* CSS, XHTML (hand coded, W3C-compliant)
* Modern, DOM-friendly Javascript
* Fireworks or Photoshop and Illustrator or Freehand
* Flash
* Practical experience of user-centred design
* Understanding of SEO and of creating semantic XHTML

Desired skills & Qualifications

* Knowledge of JavaScript, Apache, Linux, WML
* Related Arts/Design degree

Personal Profile

* Excellent organizational and communication skills
* Independent problem solving skills
* Attention to detail and a positive attitude
* Ability and willingness to learn

And finally: Knowledge of the Prototype JavaScript framework, XML and source control (SVN) would be very helpful.
