Subscription Sales Manager

SportsPro boasts a subscriber base that includes Manchester Utd, New Zealand All Blacks, Tampa Bay Bucaneers, IOC members as well as individuals like Bernie Ecclestone, Tom Hicks, Philippe Blatter and Lalit Modi.
The magazine has gained an enviable reputation for in-depth reports and features on the sports industry’s most influential figures, opinion formers and personalities. Conversion rates from free trials of the magazine to paid subscriptions are already impressive.
To drive our 2010 subscriptions strategy we are looking for an experienced Subscription Sales Manager. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter and will possess a proven track record in selling, and managing a sales/subscription team. In addition, the chosen candidate will have excellent powers of persuasion, be a great team player, and someone who is comfortable managing the day-to-day detail as well as helping devise and drive the longer-term strategy.
The chosen candidate will be tasked to formulate a small team of 3 (including him/herself) to drive subscriptions on the magazine and potentially future business through classified and recruitment sales. The potential to make a massive impact on the publication and to earn high commissions is enormous.

Essential skills:
A proven track record of selling subscriptions or similar
Previous experience in team management
