Senior Theatre Practitioner in Harley Street Hospital, to £34K
Rate: £ 29 to £ 34 K - per annum
A superb opportunity has arisen to work in a new acute hospital in the heart of Harley Street in London. This Hospital excels in respiratory and urology disciplines and has established itself as one of the foremost private hospitals in the area.
Role Profile
1. To work within both the nursing and a multi-disciplinary team to provide evidence based, holistic care to patients from admission to discharge in the operating theatre suite.
2. To take responsibility for managing and co-ordinating an assigned area of theatre and act up in the absence of the Theatre Services Manager when asked to do so.
3. To be a safe and effective practitioner and to provide a high standard of peri-operative care to patients and customers within the theatre services department, and to instruct, develop and provide appraisal of junior members of staff.
4. To record and capture all patient and customer data correctly on the computer and in paper form to the highest of standards. To communicate effectively to staff, patients and visitors to the Centre.
5. To support the Theatre Services Manager by participating in the administrative responsibilities within the department.
6. To take responsibility as the Link Practitioner for a mandatory health & safety theme within the Theatre Services Department. (Incident Reporting, COSHH, Medical Gases, Infection Control).
Personal Profile
You will be a senior theatre practitioner with at least 2 years post grad experience within theatres and show good clinical skills in Anaesthetics, Recovery and Scrub as well as good leadership and management of staff.
