Advertising Sales Manger Required

The Blog Paper Ltd. (www.theblogpaper.co.uk ) is a young highly innovative new media company based on an online community and on a printed user generated newspaper. Theblogpaper.co.uk allows anyone to publish written and visual work online. The community then decides what gets promoted to print by means of rating and commenting. Theblogpaper is the first user-generated free newspaper published and distributed in London.

We have recently signed deals with various highly professional strategic and financial partners, such as www.blogcatalog.com, www.broowaha.com, http://firstlovecapital.com. Currently we are engaged in an aggressive growth strategy. Our partners will enable us to significantly increase the community growth figures. Yet our main goal is to expand the circulation of our printed newspaper. Therefore one of our key objectives is to generate as many advertising launch partners as possible.

Sales Manager - London

The new media company ‘The Blog Paper Ltd.’ is looking for an ad-sales manager for its London office. They are looking for individuals who have advertising experience with a proven track record as well as building/maintaining client relationships. For salary information

Responsibilities:

- Develop and sell online advertising, print and sponsorship programs to top-tier ad agencies
- Develop strong/deep relationships with ad agencies and clients responsible for advertising
- Demonstrated experience prospecting and growing client requests for proposals (RFP)
- Work with ad operations to generate proposals and proactively create new ideas for advertisers
- Meet and exceed sales goals and objectives
- Occasional travel, face-to-face client meetings and tradeshows

Requirements:

- A passion for new media
- Contacts to potential advertisres (client
- BS/BA or equivalent required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic; desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment with a young team
- 1-3 years interactive ad sales experience in top-tier online media websites
