online mag one-eighth vulture is currently seeking october submissions for its website!

a little bit about us....
we are an online writing magazine publishing, promoting and linking writers from the grand UNESCO Cities of Literature, Melbourne and Edinburgh. One-eighth vulture celebrates the unique and diverse literary traditions these cities represent.

Since we launched in June, one-eighth vulture has attracted the attention of many budding and established writers, editors and various literary bodies from both Melbourne and Edinburgh including Unesco in Edinburgh and crikey in Melbourne, as well as the Edinburgh and Melbourne annual festivals. The site is growing fast in both size and reputation thanks to our readers and contributors.

We are currently looking for dynamic new submissions from edinburgh writers!

one-eighth vulture wants your poetry, your prose, your scripts, snippets from your life, city life, the good life, bad, real, imaginary, factual, fictional, past, present and future life... experiences and reflections on life as a writer in a writer's city. Describe the taste of bus exhaust as you cycle into it. Hit us with a limerick about the view from your window. one-eighth vulture represents the many facets, faces and dimensions of a city and the creatures, good and bad, who inhabit it.

We are interested in how our cities have constructed us, and how we construct our cities.

Please note submissions are currently voluntary - we hope this will change in the future, but we are still growing so please support us! In exchange, we promote our writers however we can (such as twitter and facebook) and are very committed to creating a community and assisting our contributors to get their work out there. It's a great addition to your CVs and portfolios.
