Tour Operational and Reservations Manager

Short description of the Operation and Reservation Manager:
• Full arrangement and planning of European coach tours. Liaising with all suppliers such as hotels, tour guides and transport companies; Processing of reservations and bookings; Sales and reservations management; Financial management of tour bookings and tour suppliers; Travel Visa preparation assistance.

Basic requirements for this position:
• A Tourism qualification or background.
• Worldwide travelling experience.
• Previous experience of project orientated management or any management positions.
• Fluent in English plus one of the following languages (any one): Afrikaans, French, German, Italian or Dutch
• A valid UK visa or EU passport
• Computer skills: Good command of Excel, Word, Outlook

Bonus requirements for this position
• Previous Operational experience with a tour operator.
• Use of travel reservation system s
• Understanding of more European languages
• Coach drivers license
• Web design skills
• Other IT skills like basic network and system management, programming or DB management.

Salary and Times:
• Interviews will be between 16 to 24 November.
• The appointed candidate will start with training from 30 November until 22 December with a training salary of £7 per hour. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
• He or she will also have to join Expat Explore on a 10 day Christmas and New year tour from 24 December to 2 January (free of charge: www.expatexplore.com/winter).
• Employment will then start on 4 January 2010 for a 3 month trial period with salary of £9 per hour.
