A large primary school in Ilford is looking for a full time Teaching Assistant with Autism experience.

The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant who can work Monday to Friday from 8.30 till 4 p.m until July 2010 for a daily rate of £70.

This teaching assistant job involves support a Year 1 pupil with low functioning autism on a one to one basis, working according to the pupil’s IEP.
The pupil has speech and communication difficulties hence experience of PECS and or signalong/Makaton will be a distinct advantage.

The successful Teaching Assistant will:
• Have proven experience supporting children with autism preferably within a primary school
• Have a high command on the English Language
