MAIN DUTIES:
Primary Responsibilities
· To field and manage daily press enquiries
· Overseeing and drafting regular proactive media initiatives including press releases, comment pieces and Letter to Editors
· Daily monitoring of news media and dissemination of email clippings
· Maintaining and updating a database of media contacts. Furthering good relations with key journalists, and policy makers
· Further work to assist with the charities media work, as directed by the Head of Media.
ESSENTIAL WORK SKILLS:
Education level
HND Level Qualification
Necessary:
Understanding of and affinity with sector/trade, regional/local an
national media in the UK
Knowledge of Policy working in the Third Sector/Policitics
IT Knowledge
Strong writing skills
Desirable:
Media Disk/Gorkana
AMI Plan
Access Database
