Ladies and Gents, appreciative followers of conceptual oddness, and persons of dubious reality:

After some more conventional posting and responding on Gumtree, and more positive than negative results, I figured I'd dip a toe in the murky waters of shared enjoyment of creative strangeness.

And I'm damn glad I did.

So, got a nice little gang together who enjoy the same sort of thing: Comics, movies (with a leaning to sci-fi, Donnie Darko and Withnail style wierdness, Kung Fu!), TV (Buffy, Spaced - the latter might evoke some youthful memories), books and general unusualness, the rum and uncanny; but also BEER (or your alternative choice of intoxicant).

But I am going to be blunt and hope I don't touch too many nerves...

I'm not looking to correspond either online or in person with people who spend most of their lives online, whether in chatrooms or online roleplaying. And if you don't like pubs, that might be tricky as well.

Beer is not the be all and end all, but I like it. I like it in multiple pints, and in good, sociable and stimulating company.

Only thing I ask is that you send a short reply when the invites come round, (yes, no, or maybe is fine) just so's I know you're still interested.

Good male / female mix, generally 20 / 30 somethings (me, early 30's), but all welcome so long as you like a beer and a laugh. Drop me a line (checking yer e-mail address as I've had a few I can't respond to!) just saying why you're interested (one liners without names don't get a response) and i'll let you know about the next sesh...
