A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the team at Portobello Green Fitness Club. The club has 80 new cardio & resistance stations in the main gym, separate free-weights gym, squash courts, saunas & steams. 3 treatment rooms, 2 studios and classes from capoeira, yoga and Pilates to kickboxing.
We are currently seeking a dynamic individual for the position of Gym Manager to be responsible for the day-to-day operational aspects of the gym, provide a friendly and energetic environment for members and to ensure the gym is clean, tidy and complies with H&S legislation. The Gym Manager will supervise the fitness team and lead the team by example.

The successful candidate will have a recognised fitness instruction qualification i.e. YMCA, ACSM, FIA or Sports Science qualification i.e. BTEC, HND, BSc and previous gym management experience.
A working knowledge of health & fitness, including health & safety, screening, design of appropriate programmes to meet individual customer needs is essential for the role; along with a good working knowledge of customer care requirements and the ability to prescribe exercise for target groups i.e. IFI, GP Referrals
