Office manager business development junior wanted. totally flexible 1-2 days per week

This is a great opportunity for a part time student (or recently qualified), an experienced PA/secretary with a sharp mind or perhaps a mother looking to come back into the work force part time. My company is very small and you be dealing with 1 individual only.
If you are younger than 25 then you will need to demonstrate a level of maturity and worldliness – This role is not for someone looking to do mindless data entry or typing up endless letters. A clever mind is more important in this role that fast fingers

ESSENTIALS
==> You MUST have an excellent command of the English language
==> Good time management and ability to multitask
==> Responsible, Punctual and willing to give that extra mile.
==> Ability to work on own initiative
==> Good grasp of MS Office (Word, Excel, maybe Powerpoint)
==> This an ideal position for someone who likes responsibility and wants to take charge when necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES
==> Communicating with suppliers, advertisers, clients and the like on behalf of the business. You will be dealing on the phone with people from landlords to builders to estate agents and mortgage brokers.
==> You MUST be confident in cold calling possible clients. You will not be required to be an expert in the material you are discussing BUT you must be articulate and able to think on your feet when dealing with possible customers on the telephone

==> You should be experienced in researching on the internet and newspapers and getting the ‘best deal’ whether that be office supplies or advertising space in newspapers or finding a new client
==> You should be able to ‘empathise’ with customers and be sympathetic to their plight even if we can not assist them
==> You should have an interest in ‘new media’ and everything internet. You do NOT need to be a web designer but if you are daunted by the prospect of spending some time learning to amend basic websites (Wordpress) then this perhaps isn’t for you.
==> You will be asked to manage email accounts and calendars so again you should be either experienced in this field OR keen to learn
==> Knowledge of MS Word and ability to type at a reasonable speed
==> Traditional PA skills are not essential for this role (but very helpful) – an eagerness to learn and an ability to show some business acumen is paramount.
==> I am not necessarily after a person who has the complete complement of IT skills HOWEVER I do require someone who is a speedy learner and never gives up when lacking knowledge

Pay is negotiable but will be based upon experience and skills (after a face to face interview) and agreed as an hourly rate with a bonus structure for business you create over and above our core business.
