Workplace Audit Services
A major issue facing all Facilities and Property Managers is how to accurately identify how they are using or misusing their workstations and office facilities, and to identify whether improvements in space usage can be made to accommodate additional headcount or to potentially dispose of unwanted space.
Increasingly, companies are looking to work more flexibly by utilising hot desks or working from home, however can come up against a strong resistance to change. To ask people to change what they are doing you first have to demonstrate that change is needed. This is what a workplace audit does.
If you are looking to consolidate or expand office space, a workplace audit will prove the efficiency of your existing space and will identify which areas are poorly utilised in order for any future strategies to be made with complete confidence.
Workspace Facts:
• On average, only 55% of office workstations are used at any one time - leaving 45% unoccupied. British businesses throw away £55billion each year through the inefficient use of their property.
• The average London workstation costs £10,300* a year to run. An office of 120 desks would have a potential annual wastage of over half a million pounds as a result of desks lying idle.
Independent Workspace Analysis
Over the past 3 years I have been working for a major Soho based property consultancy during which I have managed over 30 workplace audits, the findings of which have successfully saved millions of pounds for a number of high profile clients.
In July 2009 I began working directly with businesses on a freelance basis and am now providing a fully independent workspace consultancy service available on a job-per-job basis. As a result, all costs can be kept to a minimum and no long-term contracts are required.
