The school actually has specialist science college status - they teach the separate sciences at GCSE as well as obviously A-level.

The role is to lead an already very successful dept and to bring a fresh approach and ideas to the table.

In terms of crude statistics in Science at GCSE 86% get a C or above in the separate sciences - the dept is classified as 'outstanding' so it is a question of evolution rather than revolution.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who can bring personality passion and a track record of delivery.
