Hey there,

My name is Best I'm 25 from south London but spend most my time in North London and I'm a rapper/singer looking to start a band, I've been rapping for 8 years or so and been singing for even longer.

I'm a better rapper than singer that's why I only put RAPPER in the title and not RAPPER/SINGER.

Anywho, I've tried starting a band before, but got too many unreliable people and frustration got the better or me and I gave up. 1 year later I feel ready to give it another go.

The sound i'm going for is a cross between 'The Roots' (see youtube attchment) and Jamaroquai. I like the hip hop aspect of The Roots but i want it to be a bit more fun and upbeat hence the Jamaroquai influence.

I've not done any music like this before (see www.myspace.com/online1065 for old songs) so , I'm going to need bandmates that can contribute to the song writing. Ideally I'd like the following instruments.

Lead Guitar
Bass Guitar
Drums
Key
Singer male or female(I can do backing vocals on the singing)
and if I'm Lucky, Saxophone/Trumpet.

Ideally I'd like to practice a minimum of once a week.

I'm planning a Jam next monday.
