Funding And Development Officer for Green Charity
Our client is an international non-profit organisation with a fast growing network of 2000 leaders in more than 90 countries. Their mission is to inspire leadership for a sustainable world.
They do this by searching worldwide for outstanding people, developing their leadership potential through innovative training programmes and working with them to mobilise others to make a real difference to the future.
Their worldwide offices deliver training programmes that challenge traditional notions of leadership with progressive participatory techniques.
They train business executives, government officials, academics, NGO directors, activists, educationalists and media professionals. Their multi-lingual training team works with top-level experts and practitioners from around the world who focus on emerging issues relevant to leadership and sustainable development.
Location: Kensington, London
Duration: 6 month fixed term contract, 80% working - flexible arrangements considered
Work hours: The successful candidate is expected to work 4 days (28 hours) a week although full time is also negotiable.
Salary scale: c £30k pro rata, dependent on skills and experience

Do you have the skills and experience to secure funding from diverse sources for core support and programme delivery?
Can you write convincing and compelling proposals that describe complex goals in a clear and concise manner?
Do you have a strong and established network that includes foundations as well as institutional donors?
Are you able to think strategically and develop long term funding plans as well as short term targets to help achieve easy funding wins?
Key Responsibilities:
To implement an innovative and sustainable fundraising strategy
Identify and research appropriate funders and write funding bids
To develop existing and new relationships through written and telephone communication, face-to-face meetings and special events
Essential experience, knowledge and skills:
Demonstrable fundraising experience operating in the voluntary sector, including in the Trusts/Grant making bodies field
Significant experience of budget management of an annual plan with a fundraising target of at least £75,000
Experience of developing and implementing fundraising strategy
Proven track record in securing funds from diverse sources to meet core and restricted funding requirements
The ideal candidate should be able to:
Show initiative and be flexible with regard to the tasks they are asked to complete;
Be capable of working independently in a fast-paced office environment;
Have good networking skills;
Have excellent written English skills;
Have good organisational and time management skills;
Be reliable and capable of paying close attention to detail;
Have good computer skills (particularly Word, Excel, Outlook and internet);
Working knowledge of French or other languages (desirable);
A good sense of humour and creativity.
