Hi all,

I am looking for a decent size room in a friendly flatshare, ideally somewhere central or just around (perhaps Liverpool Street, Spitafields, Shoreditch, Kings Cross, Islington or even Maida Vale, Waterloo, Borough etc). That being said, I am quite open to other areas but I work in Hammersmith so transport close by and good links are quite important.

Staying at friends' at the moment so I can move anytime, the sooner the better. Ideally rent should be no more £600 pcm (all in) but perhaps i can stretch even a bit higher if the place and people feel right.

A bit about myself:

I'm Lukas, 27yr old, working as a designer in an interiors/architecture, therefore not much irregularity in working hours. I'm well educated and travelled, originally from Prague and apart from UK I have also lived in DK &&;&&;; OZ for a while..hence aussie twist to my accent=) which I'm apparently loosing tho..I’m into design/photography which all goes naturally with the profession I guess, enjoy cooking (even baking!), bit of sports every now and then (volleyball atm), movies, music, all the usual stuff I would say. I’m easy to get along with, friendly, fun with good but bit twisted sense of humour. I can be a bit untidy in my room but other than that I’d like to think I am a good flatmate as cleanness is pretty important to me (especially in the kitchen and bathroom but not a clean freak). I enjoy going out and socializing (not much on school nights tho), but I’m considerate, respect others, their lives and privacy and when at home I tend to be pretty quiet.

A bit about what I am looking for:

Looking to share with others around my age, gay or straight, I’m fairly open-minded about the ages/sexualities/professions of people I live with. If it works, it works. So as long as it’s a friendly and relaxed living situation in a clean flat with sane, considerate people who allow others to sleep (no DJ wanna-bes practicing at 3am playing for people 2 blocks down the road), I’m happy=) Ideally looking for a place to call ‘home’ rather than a ‘shoe box’ to sleep in, with laid back people. I don’t expect to be with my flatmates all the time, we don’t need to be best mates, however, becoming friends would be great, feeling comfortable at home is very important to me. I want to enjoy my flatmates’ company, have an occasional chat, meal, drink, go out etc., rather than lock myself in my room and pass each other without even saying hi. I am definitely done with that kind of living! I don’t own much, as far as the house stuff goes anyway..i used to own a great bed but as i had to move out i sold it so now I would be looking for a furnished place with all mod cons (within reason, e.g. dishwasher is cool but I am perfectly capable of doing dishes).
