We are a young, dynamic and entrepreneurial company, established in 1990, with a workforce that strives for quality, excellence and creativity. Due to our growth and development, we are now looking for a full-time Marketing Assistant to be based at our Hampstead headquarters.

The role of the Marketing Assistant is to provide good administrative assistance to Marketing Managers. He/she will be involved in research of new marketing activities, especially locating and evaluating websites and portals and developing e-marketing activities, as well as providing customer service support for existing products. Also, the Marketing Assistant will be responsible for the translation of press releases, e-mailers and other communications in Japanese.

A flexible outlook is essential, with a willingness to learn since, amongst other tasks, the Marketing Assistant will assist in the marketing of events (Summer and Fall international Tours) and provide back-up support in other marketing activities for a variety of products, as required. In this role you will also be responsible for updating and maintaining our contacts database.

Working in a small, high-energy and successful team, this person will be involved in all aspects of the marketing mix. This makes this position interesting for a person wishing to make their first-move to advance a career in marketing and to develop new skills and take on responsibilities.

Key requirements
* Excellent communication skills both written and oral
* Fluency in Japanese and English is essential
* Database experience (preferably FilemakerPro)
* Experience of Microsoft Office: particularly Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
* HTML competence would be considered an advantage
* Confident telephone manner
* At least a year work experience in a marketing or PR environment preferred
* Ability to be proactive and see tasks through independently
* Well presented, pleasant and of a friendly disposition
* Good typing skills
* Ability to work unsupervised
