International Investment Bank are looking to recruit a head of the Equity Markets Support group in South Africa. The individual will be responsible for manager the area, the team is employed in a Middle Office capacity to provide support to the equity market group. In South Africa they current support the following desks - all Equity products, Origination and Equity Finance.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities will include;
- Ensuring clients (both external & internal) are provided with the highest level of service.
- Each team within the middle office area are working to and complying with controls and produces to ensure the positions are maintained with minimal operational risk.
- Recruiting highly competent staff to support the growth of the business.
- Creating a framework for errors and root cause analysis
- Designing and implementing procedures.
- Liaise with audit with regards to operational processes
.
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills;
- A strong knowledge of operational procedures and risk control is essential
- Experience in managing a trade support team or operations area from an internal equity derivatives environment
- An in-depth understanding of all equities markets with knowledge of both list and unlisted Equity Derivatives
