The Job

Many people with a spinal injury work full time, have young families, play sports and have hobbies and social lives that take them around the county and abroad – as a Personal Care Assistant (PA) you will provide assistance with everyday activities such as dressing, driving, cooking and shopping. No nursing or other specialist skills are required...just a positive attitude and a sense of humour. Origin clients are highly motivated to live an independent lifestyle with the role of the Personal Care Assistant focused on helping them to achieve the lifestyle of their choice.

Her Personal Care Assistant is needed to drive her to sporting venues, training sessions and the social events associated with her sports. As her Personal Care Assistant you will be expected to prepare her for work, keep her home clean and tidy and prepare her meals.... ‘I am a young thirty something, not ready to give up on social activities, having a laugh or living life to the full, so I need someone who can keep up with me!’
