Audit Senior

We have an opportunity to join this firm for an experienced Auditor to represent the firm as Audit Senior on audit and accounting assignments and to supervise and train new and junior members of staff in the team.
Main responsibilities will involve:
-The preparation and audit of statutory accounts to comply with UK GAAP and International auditing and accounting standards.
-Preparation of accounts for partnerships and sole traders.
-Preparation and drafting of CT computations.
-Preparation and drafting of IT computations.
-Responsibility for the training and supervision of new and junior members of staff in all aspects of accountancy and audit, and the use of Excel and Viztopia accounting software.
-Review work done by junior members of staff including completing staff assessment forms
The role is divided into approximate 50-60% audit, 30% financial accounting and the remainder will be tax and general duties.
To apply, you will be fully qualified ACA / ACCA or equivalent, with experience of acting as a supervising senior on Audit Clients of a minimum turnover of £5m. You will ideally have experience/expertise in law society audit and, essentially, and have qualified within a firm of accountants.
You will have excellent communication skills and demonstrating communicating openly and honestly at all levels, with the capability to explain complex matters to clients clearly and concisely. The successful applicant will possess all of this together with the ability to demonstrate use of initiative to solve problems, work to timescales and meet deadlines, plan and organise tasks/priorities effectively and give appropriate attention to detail to ensure accurate work.
