I am a British BA Hons graduate who is interested in working for a company in the administrative field. I am looking for permanent work in London. I would like to work for a company that can offer career progression.
I have gained 4 years administration experience. My previous experience has been working as an Office Manager for an International Financial company, this involved managing the office unsupervised. Passing on messages to the relevant department. Passing on referrals for new potential clients. Updating the invoice spreadsheets. Dealing with pay queries. Informing a large group of clients of transferred funds. I would also monitor deadlines of other staff and chase them up when relevant. I would also arrange for clients to have meeting in the boardroom. Faxing over P45's and application forms Dealing with stationary requirements and receiving and posting mail to our different branches.
Administrator for an IT company, my duties include, using an in-house database system, keeping up to date customer requests and adding to the database, dealing with daily customer and client enquires. multi-tasking, scanning invoices. Prioritising my work load and meeting deadlines, being constantly organised and solving problems. Checking for e-mails from clients/customers, dealing with suppliers, business to business interaction, dealing with awkward customers/clients, updating and sending spreadsheets to the client. Ordering hardware through the supplier and checking that they are dispatched. Packaging and posting hardware to customers. Arranging for hardware to be picked up and delivered. Arranging engineer appointments. Logging technical faults on the system. Checking the database system for client/customer requests and responses. Completing a mini project. Training colleagues, Ad Hoc duties, sorting out the post, dealing with petty cash, assisting clients to meetings and serving beverages.
My other experiences have also been working for another IT company as a Sales Administrator, researching company contact details on the Internet, cold calling companies, multi-tasking, typing, faxing, meeting deadlines, dealing with the mail and deliveries, updating and adding new companies to the database, arranging couriers, ordering stationary, serving refreshments, meeting and greeting clients, dealing with enquiries, stock taking, dealing with petty cash, business to business interaction, checking purchase orders, responsible for the banking, paying in checks and invoices, taking calls from clients and customers and passing on messages in person or by e-mail, typing, faxing, sending invoices, dealing with any queries and adding it on to the database, getting quotes from company suppliers, upgrading any memory from IT products and adding it on to the database.
Having previous Reception experience, has helped me gained other experience such as, data entry, training staff, booking meetings, using the switchboard. My skills that I have developed throughout my education and work experience include, good team working skills, good communication skills, good listening skills, good organisation skills and good IT skills. I am Advanced on Microsoft Office Word, Intermediate on Excel, Intermediate on PowerPoint, Advanced on Outlook, Advanced on Internet Explorer. I have 40 words per minute copy typing speed and 50 words per minute under dictation.
I am confident that my hard working professional attitude will shine through. I am very proactive, enthusiastic and energetic with an ambition for success and reward. My personality traits include being bubbly, positive and naturally inquisitive with a good sense of humour. I have been described as one of a kind! As well as having a hard working professional attitude, I am also well-spoken and present an attractive neat polished appearance at all times.
