Proofreading and Editing by Published Academic Writer
I offer a professional proofreading and editing service for all kinds of written work, including creative, commercial and academic writing (from undergraduate essays to PhD theses). My qualifications and experience include a PhD in English, seven years’ experience of university teaching and assessment, publication in peer reviewed academic journals, book and chapter contracts with Blackwell, Oxford University Press and Ashgate, and editorial positions on various academic journals and websites. I have particular experience in working with students for whom English is not their first language.
Documents are usually returned in a week’s time (this may be slightly longer for documents over 60,000 words), but closer deadlines can be negotiated. My prices are:
£6 per thousand words (to the nearest thousand) for return in 7 days (under 60,000 words; larger documents may take up to 10 days)
£8.50 per thousand words (to the nearest thousand) for return in 4-6 days (documents over 60,000 words by arrangement)
Work should be sent as an e-mail attachment in Microsoft Word.
