JOB TITLE: CONFERENCE SPECIALIST
JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for planning, production and marketing of allocated events within the IDC UK Conference function.

IDC conference specialists are self-starters who can manage the development and delivery of IDC local sponsored conferences. They are extremely organised, pay attention to detail but possess the flair to design innovative marketing campaigns that inspire IT and communications professionals to register and attend IDC events. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years experience of event logistics or project management.
MAIN DUTIES:
1. Project manage all 11 IDC sponsored conferences undertaken for the IDC UK and Ireland office to ensure events are delivered within budget, achieve specified end-user attendance
2. Develop and execute the tactical marketing communications plan for all the allocated events including advertising, direct mail, email and telemarketing
3. Liaise with IDC "Sponsored Event" conference manager and senior analysts to produce conference collateral used to attract the delegates
4. Work with the senior marketing specialist to ensure relevant media partners are approached for contra deals
5. Fully responsible for the pre-event and on site logistics including site visits, venue bookings, AV, catering
6. Co-ordinate and provide running updates on budgets and delegate numbers for allocated events.
7. Liaise with multiple sponsors to ensure they meet their deadlines, achieve their objectives and are satisfied by the events.
8. Manage delegate retention for allocated events and oversee the conference assistant (responsible for delegate registration)
