Our client, International Food Company based in North West London are looking for a Category HR Manager to manage one of their sites. You will be reporting to a Category HR Director also based on site. The successful candidate will be CIPD qualified/part-qualified or equivalent. It is important that you have experience of working with trade unions.
The successful candidate must have strong organisational skills including a proven recruitment process. Multi tasking and managing their workload whilst working to strict deadlines is required along with having a motivated and flexible attitude with a yes mentality. Excellent communication and customer service skills are required. The successful candidate needs to be enthusiastic with ability to work in a fast paced environment.Main Duties include:
* Ensuring that site managers adhere to best practice employment policy and procedures via mentoring, coaching and counselling as appropriate.
* Ensuring all new legislation, policies and procedures are implemented in a coherent and seamless manner.
* Accountable for ensuring the Category compliance in respect of the full range of HR and employment related issues
* Conducting disciplinary meetings, interviews, grievances, appeals and other such meetings as required by the business
* Interfacing and building constructive and meaningful relationships with site representatives / Trade Union representatives on site
* Delivering lunch and learns, how to sessions, coaching, mentoring and training on a range of DNA and HR related topics designed to equip local line managers and support the business plan
* Ensuring engagement and communications agendas are positioned as pivotal to the business and understood / implemented at all levels of the business
* Developing and ensuring the appropriate performance delivery from the Category HR Assistant (subordinate) providing personal cover for absence as necessary
* Identifying and sourcing the muscle building of salaried and hourly paid team members
* Delivering the roll out of the PAD process and associated on site training and development requirements as appropriate, following up PAD queries and issues to support the performance management, training and development and succession planning processes
* Completing monthly reports indicating key KPI's and targets for local, departmental and national Management Meetings and ensuring follow up and corrective actions as appropriate
