Working in partnership with jobcentreplus, we are looking for volunteer mentors to support unemployed people.
Your role would be based at a training provider centre, between 9-5 during week, once a week ( 2 hours or more).
You would be asked to build and sustain mentoring role with a client on a regular basis to assist them to deal with their barriers to employment, to help them through this life journey.
You are expected to be empathising, inspiring and non judgemental.
In return you would have ongoing support from the Mentoring Co-ordinator , payment of travel costs and the opportunity of sharing your experiences with othe rmentors.
You could obtain City& Guilds Accreditation as Community Mentor upon your achievements.
