Job Title: Sous Chef
Hours: 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7
Salary: £7.00 p/h
Location: South East London

Employer Details:
This exciting job is for a luxury hotel with health club, in South East London, near to the O2 Arena. The hotel has a restaurant which serves Mediterranean food as well as a bar lounge which serves food and cocktails.

Job Description:
To assist the Head Chef with the storage, preparation and cooking of all food items in the busy kitchen, whilst adhering to the health and safety within the kitchen and correct storage of the food produce. When the Head Chef is absent the Sous Chef would be managing the kitchen.

Candidate Profile:
• Must be self-motivated and responsible.
• Must have attention to detail and the ability to work unsupervised.
• Knowledge of food and food hygiene.
• Able to work under pressure.
• Customer focused.
• Well presented and has good communication skills.

Required Experience:
• Experience of working in a high position in a kitchen e.g. Senior Chef de Partie or Sous chef.
• Basic food hygiene certificate.
• A strong team player with good personal hygiene and presentation.
