Head Chef Kitchen Manager Required
Kitchen Manager/ Head Chef wanted at our friendly Vegan/ Vegetarian cafe- The gallery cafe
Job Description:
Pay 18,000 pa
40 hours per week
1 Year contract subject to a 1 month trial
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience, able to manage people, with a friendly, posistive attitude and willingness to get stuck in
Responsibilities Include:
To run the kitchen:
• To oversee and be involved in the production of the food on the menu
• To manage the kitchen staff
• To oversee the ordering, researching ways to order the required supplies at a budget
• To make the rota for the kitchen staff along guidelines agreed
• To maintain standards of Hygiene in the kitchen, making sure kitchen staff are working according to the job descriptions agreed
• To make sure cupboards, fridges and storerooms are organised
• To meet regularly with the director and manger top ensure targets are being met, new ideas, problems, to set achievable goals and deadlines
• In the absence of the manager, to be a point of call for staff and to oversee FOH staff to make sure they are doing their jobs and to support and encourage them.
