Our client based in East London is looking for a Science Technician to work in their secondary school.

Applicants will need to have worked in an education environment and wither have a valid CRB or be able to attain a new one at the earliest possible opportunity.

You will provide a technician service to the Science Team which will include the preparation of apparatus, materials and solutions as well as setting up, checking, issuing equipment and
apparatus in practicals.

Making sure that apparatus and equipment and is maintenance is key and you will also be required to make sure that all laboratory services and facilities or consistently checked with any faults reported.

Stock levels of chemicals etc must be maintained with any shortages escalated to Senior
Technician / Subject Leader in the Science department.

You will also be able to trial practical work and assist with lessons whilst making sure standards of safety and security within the technician service are kept to the highest standards.

It is required for the applicants to be excellent communicators as you will be working with other establishments and agencies and technicians in other schools.

This is a term time appointment in an excellent school. You also be required to undertake duties as and when required and you should be flexible.
