That got you interested didn't it, go on, I know it did. I enjoy popping on the Gumtree confession page and have done for several years. I post now and again, usually when some sort of niggling question pops up in my head that I want to find out if anyone else is affected by this as well, i.e what's the quickest way to run a bath, a more efficient way to tie my laces or any other incosequential musing.

Anyway...

I opened my email account this morning and I had a message from the Gumtree team asking if I'd like my post to be run back up the the top of the message board. For this I'd have to wire them £3.95. Would I be interested? Er, no.

I know people answer to these ads and part with the best part of a fiver so their message can 'mysteriously' drift back up to the top. Why?

What sad twits.
