I'm an American, white, work in the legal field. Tall, thin, university-educated, unmarried, no children, etc.

I haven't used this site in like a year because I've been in a relationship (with somebody I didn't meet online, naturally) but that didn't work out so I thought I'd try Gumtree again. I've met a lot of absolutely bizarre people from here and, while interesting, I'd really like to meet somebody approaching normality this time.

So here are the experiences I've taken away from previous Gumtree encounters:

FIrst girl I met was a mixed race English girl. She seemed ok, but then she started going on about how she doesn't like the IRA. Just out of nowhere. It wasn't a topic I wanted to debate and this just encouraged her to rant even more. I decided that it wasn't for me. So nobody who holds strong opinions against the IRA, please. Or at least wants to talk about it all day.

Met a girl from Malaysia. Her job was a pyramid scheme. Getting people to sign up for seminars, you know. Total scam. She was also the angriest person I've ever met. And loud and obnoxious as well. At the risk of sounding racist, it's not often that you come across loud East Asian women. Anyway, she was highly unpleasant. So no loud and/or angry women. Nobody who has a scam job either.

There was also a British Indian girl. She seemed nice, but there was definetely something off about her. I couldn't really place my finger on it, though. For example, we were walking and some guy on the street was ranting about something. I asked if she heard what he was saying. She said "that we're all going to hell". Just nonchantly like that.

But yeah, she seemed ok even though there was clearly something not quite right. So I was willing to go out a second time. Unfortunately, she went into a mental hospital shortly after our date. I decided that it was good that she got some help but...it wasnt for me. So nobody who needs emergency psyciatric treatment, please. Some eccentricity would be ok, but not serious mental illness.

Ah right, and there was also a bizarre Chinese woman. She was a bit older than me and had a couple of kids. I didn't mind because it's just Gumtree. Don't expect anything big to happen.

So yeah, quite a bizarre woman. But she apparently had a good job because she lived in Westminster. Nothing wrong with a woman with some money.

But then she starts talking about how her husband is moving out. This was after we had already gone out twice. I assumed that they were already separated. She also talked down to me about how she's "middle class". You'd think a woman from China would have more sophisticated views of the class struggle. So no pretentious women and no married women, please.

There was also a Portugese woman (so they weren't all Asian). Loud and obnoxious. Not a fan.

The best was a mixed race English girl who kept asking me to call her. This was before we even met. She would say that she has something important to say. Fine.

It was always something totally insane, though. Going on about how she's an asexual virgin. And how she draws erotic comics and sends them to a publisher in New York. I don't need to know all of this. And anyway, save some good topics for the meet up.

She was even nuttier in person. I can't believe I even went through with seeing her, but I was really intrigued. She just talked endlessly. And I'm not a particularly chatty guy so this annoyed her. But it was clear that her mind just raced endlessly.

She was apparently really well-educated and had a good job, though. Allegedly worked as a lecturer at some universitiies. And she had a book published and was in the process of having her autobiography published. Not sure who'd buy the autobiography of a 25 year old girl, though. Must be self-published.

Anyway, no asexual virgins, please. Particularly those who draw erotic comics and send them to publishers in New York. Man, she said she was going to send me samples of her work but she never did. I was looking forward to that, but I just couldn't bring myself to meet up again.

They actually weren't all terrible, though. I did meet a couple of nice Korean girls. So yeah, there could be something to that. Korea.

Oh man, and there was this Japanese woman. I couldn't believe it. I don't know how old she was, but she had a few years on me. She was dressed in a really youthful, fashionable style though. Like you see in documentaries about kids in Tokyo or whatever.

And she always walked behind me. A cultural thing, obviously and...it was peculiar but...kind of interesting as well. And she was very quiet.

I regret fucking that one up. Completely crazy. She fit every stereotype of Japan. As a girl, she probably read manga and sold her underpants to businessmen. I bet she had intriguing stories to tell.

But yeah, that's basically it. There were other lunatics but that's a good cross sampling. Basically, nobody who's loud and nobody who's completely insane.

Age and race are unimportant, but I do like the Asians as my sampling suggests. White, black, and whatever else is fine as well, though. Age isn't an issue although...I guess I'll put a ceiling of 40 here. Not that 40+ year old women probably use this site. I think I'm too old for this nonsense myself.

So anyway, if you're interested, feel free to reply. I have a picture for the overly shallow, although...nobody I met had any problem with my appearance. And I'm too polite to mention the appearance of anyone I met. If I get one (non-spam) reply from this, I'll be shocked.
