Hello, thank you for your interest in wanting to learn Chinese languages!

Chinese languages, Cantonese in early days and Mandarin (ie Putonghua) nowadays have become 2 of the 7 leading languages in the world therefore they are your perfect choices too to study as foreign languages regardless whether it’s for education, business or pleasure!

Being native speaker in both languages, I was firstly trained a teacher and translator with BA in Modern Chinese, English Language and Literature as well as Japanese. Then I was hand-picked to be trained by Dr Rona Kingsmore (world’s renowned linguist) as her linguistic research fellow in Far Eastern languages, with further achievement of graduate certificate in Social Linguistics and TELF Methodology (Teaching English as Foreign Language) which means I am also qualified to teach English. Yes, that’s true!

Since my graduation, I have been teaching, translating, editing, presenting etc both in China and in London, and after leaving China and Hongkong, by now I have lived in London for 17 years. The life experience here has made me a multi-lingual, multi-cultural citizen who integrates well into the British way of life.

I am teaching Mandarin and Cantonese right now, both myself and my students are really loving it. I am sure you would too if you are serious about the learning! I am able to take on some more students for private tuition whilst group teaching, intensive training, translation/interpreting are all available upon request.
