Work experience in supporting an author/publisher.
A short period of voluntary work will give the successful candidate experience of how to implement a successful pr & marketing campaign
This work will entail:
To support the delivery of the communications and marketing strategy by working along side an author illustrator and publisher.
The Job requires Writing and distributing press releases to external media,
Help create Marketing and PR departments
Updating the Authors website
Improving communications through social networking and creating links to other websites.
Undertaking other activities as required, the schedule of duties is not exhaustive and is flexible. The PR and Marketing Intern may have opportunities to shape the role to their own interest and skills.
The role would be best suited for someone with an interest in developing a career in children’s education through PR & Marketing.
Essential Skills:
1) Good communication skills, both verbal & written
2) Extremely high level of accuracy in written work.
3) Good typing skills, Good level of computer literacy, in particular Microsoft Office
4) Knowledge of social networking websites
5) A Professional telephone manner
6) Strong administrative skills Ability to work on own initiative
7) It would be useful to have some experience of design packages such as Illustrator and Photoshop.
