Personality profile
We require a vibrant and forward thinking marketing communications professional to improve and drive all aspects of the business internal and external communications through a variety of channels including traditional and new media. Working closely with the marketing manager in a period of organisational change, this role will suit a driven and confident individual who wants to make a difference and be noticed.
The role will help to scope, investigate, develop and deliver B2B propositions, including strategic plans and tactical activities to drive the brand and product activity.
Experience
Two to three years marketing experience (preferably within B2B, Media or Exhibitions) including experience of advertising; direct marketing; PR; e-communications and online tactics.
Skills
• Strong copywriting skills and attention to detail are essential
• Knowledge of negotiating contra deals and advertising with key media and associations
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to openness and information sharing
• Project management, planning and co-ordinating communication activity
• Budget management experience
• Experience of web content, SEO and PPC an advantage although not essential
• Strong presentation and project management skills
• Experience of measuring campaign effectiveness and ROI
• Experience of working closely with creative professionals for printed and online media campaigns
• Understanding of working with customer databases and data profiling
• Experience of email marketing techniques
• Experience of managing website content via back office content management systems
Key responsibilities:
• Co-ordinate activity across the marketing mix to look for brand development/NPD opportunities
• Develop a close relationship with the NPD & Design teams to ensure that product market entry materials are in place according to timescale
• Conduct, gather and interpret market/customer research and competitors analysis to identify trends, demands and opportunities
• Support the marketing manager in working closely with international/regional offices to develop local marketing plans
• Drive website traffic through e-communications and monitor monthly web statistics
• Support the marketing manager in relationship building with key customers to identify and create joint marketing opportunities
• Responsible for the creation of marketing materials to support both UK and International offices
• Manage monthly internal newsletters
• Manage external newsletters and sector-specific e-marketing messages
Key relationships:
• Marketing manager – contribute to marketing strategy
• PR – work closely to ensure joined up communications and all opportunities are maximised
• SEO Agency – work closely with SEO agency to ensure web updates and improved search traffic
• Board – working closely on the brand it is important to communicate effectively with board members
