Young People Wanted (Cadets for the London Brigade)

Who Are We:
The London Brigade is a not for profit uniformed youth organisation working with young people aged 11 to 19 years providing new skills, fun and community development.

What We Do:
The London Brigade provides a range of activities and personal development opportunities by promoting the physical, intellectual, mental, social and spiritual well-being of the individual and team, helping them achieve their full potential and develop 'learning by doing,' giving young people new opportunities, responsibility and a sense of community and belonging.

Cadets take part in their Division evenings one night per week in which they take part in activities, they also complete tasks in order to receive badges for their uniform.

Division evenings vary depending on the location but are normally held between 7pm and 9pm. As well as Division evenings Cadets take part in weekend duties, supporting public and community events as well as camps, residential, trips and other activities.

You even get a reference for education or employment.

What Cadet roles we are looking for:

1. Cadets (aged 11 to 19)
You will come weekly and take part in the activities, learn new skills and meet new people.

2. Senior Cadets (aged 12 to 19)
You will support and assist the Corpral in instructing Cadet in a number of activities and begin to learn leadership skills and people management skills.

3. Corporal (aged 13 to 19)
As an NCO2, you will assist the Sergeant and Division Officers in teaching and coaching Cadets in a number of subjects and topic, be in charge of a small squad of cadets and develop and build your leadership skills.

4. Sergeant (aged 15 to 19)
As an NCO3, you are the link between the Cadets and Officers, you will assist the Officers in their duties and oversee the NCO's in your unit. You will also support Cadets in their activities and help them earn badges for their uniforms.

Your Committment:
All we ask is for you to give up at least 3 hours per week, which is the same night each week. You can also support us on weekend public duties too.
