Senior Product Manager
Fantastic Opportunity for Pop Product Manager to join one of music's most successful record labels.
Your duties will include:
* Operate as the focal point coordinating all activities relating to record releases.
* Manage communications throughout all departments to ensure perfect launches for singles, albums and acts.
* Establish credibility as an in-house authority on music charts and trends and the expert on identifying new opportunities.
* Have the ability, knowledge and confidence to make crucial decisions regarding the company's investment in artists in the context of a business characterised by high risk and reward.
* Identify the right stylists, hairdressers and make-up artists required to create a 'look' for an artist or band.
* Establish complete understanding of all issues relating to identified artists to enable maximising of their potential.
* Devise and implement strategies to drive their releases to success.
* Develop strong relationships with artists and artist management. Chair artist development and planning meetings.
* Instigate and manage photo shoots, video shoots and creation of all creative content to support all release campaigns.
* Build consensus within the company through use of diplomatic and presentational skills to maximise the internal dynamic supporting the identified artists, ensuring enthusiastic backing for and resources available to the development strategy.
* Formulate and implement effective, innovative marketing campaigns for upcoming releases to designated artists.
* Devise innovative concepts relating to all artists across the roster.
* Mentor and coach more junior members of the team to strengthen the marketing skill base, enhance motivation and ensure succession planning.
* Ensure all information is accurately communicated to all departments regarding release plans, changes, developments etc.
* Be prepared to adapt job, role and requirements to suit an ever changing music landscape.
* Develop and initiate innovative ideas for merchandising opportunities.
* Keeping and managing artist diaries, where necessary
* Ensuring you and other departments (where necessary) are aware of all elements of your artists careers, including live schedules, appearances, sponsorship deals etc
You will have significant prior success within music product management, managing innovative campaigns for top selling pop acts but also demonstrate proven experience breaking developing acts to platinum level. You will have a creative eye, excellent communication skills, developing strong relationships with artists, and artist management. You will be project focused, with the drive, motivation and managerial skills to take high-profile projects successfully from inception to completion, often simultaneously and under pressure. You will be organised and have a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of physical and digital music marketing.
