Chalet Hotel Resort Manager
We are looking to fill a number of Management Posts for this winter season.
Job Title: Resort/Chalet Manager
Location: French Alps
Start date: Nov - End of April.
The Job:
This is an exciting opportunity to work as Resort Manager, in the French Alps, working with various internationally recognized Tour Operators.
Running your resort, will be a bit like running your own business, as it is a diverse and challenging role that requires you to oversea every aspect of the operation within your resort.
Your responsibilities will include:
§ Monitor and maintaining the standards and quality of the catering in all of your chalets.
§ Ensuring that your chalets operate within budget.
§ Managing chalet staff, and other support staff, such as driver, resort rep, and Maintenance officer.
§ Placing weekly orders for your chalets, and liaising with suppliers, whilst ensuring that your chalets operate within budget.
§ Providing training during the season for existing and new chalet staff.
§ Producing detailed resort reports and account for the resort's catering expenditure in a timely manor
§ Dealing with clients concerns/complaints, and liasing with head office.
The ideal candidate will be motivated, enthusiastic, excellent at problem solving, and good communication skills. You must have Hospitality, catering and customer service experience, ideally gained in the Ski Industry, combined with Management and supervisory skills.
Ideally you will also have a Good command of French
Full clean drivers license, British National Insurance Number and European Passport, Essential.
Chalet Hotel Manager
As a Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of running one of our chalet hotels. This includes managing a team of 15 to 30 staff to effectively operate the hotel and maintain all Ski France standards, ensuring that the hotel meets health, hygiene and safety standards whilst achieving budget and maximising profitability. You will be responsible for ongoing staff training, management and motivation.
Ideally you will have extensive experience in the hotel, leisure or service industry including a management position. A commitment to providing outstanding customer service, strong leadership skills and commercial awareness is essential. Experience of living and working overseas is advantageous as is fluency in French
A fantastic opportunity for someone with previous hospitality and hotel experience who would relish the challenge, demands and rewards that come with running a chalet hotel in the French Alps. Being directly responsible for not only the 100-140 guests that arrive each week but also your own team of chefs, hosts, and kitchen porters / night porter
The role is 6 days a week, however, the Chalet Hotel Manager is expected to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for emergencies
YOu MUST have a European Passport, British National Insurance Number and be available for the whole season.
